4:30 PM | Departure from Marrakech. Your private driver will collect you from your Riad or Hotel. As we leave the city walls, the red buildings of Marrakech quickly give way to the rugged, open terrain of the Agafay.
5:15 PM | Arrival & Transformation. Upon reaching the desert camp, you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Before the ride, you’ll have the chance to dress in authentic Touareg blue robes and headscarves.
6:00 PM | The Golden Camel Trek. Mount your camel for a one-hour guided journey across the plateaus. We reach a scenic viewpoint just in time to watch the sun sink behind the mountains, a moment that will be “deeply imprinted” in your memory.

Agafay is a “hidden gem” located just 45 minutes outside of Marrakech. Unlike the Sahara Desert (which requires a minimum of 2–3 days to visit), Agafay allows you to experience the vastness of the desert and return to your hotel in Marrakech on the same day.

We recommend comfortable, “adventure-ready” clothing. If you are Quad Biking, wear closed-toe shoes and long trousers to protect yourself from the dust. In the evening, the temperature in the desert can drop quickly, so bring a light jacket or scarf even in the summer.
Yes! Children love the camel rides and the open space of the desert. For Quad Biking, children can ride as passengers with an adult. It is a very safe environment and a great way for families to escape the busy streets of the Medina for a few hours.
